GIRL!!!!!!!!

Our sweet friend Emily is finally getting her baby girl! This calls for a celebration-girls night. I think we should do one in a couple of weeks. I'll be sending the email.

p.s. I've done a really lousy job at keeping this up to date. I got birthdays and anniversaries to catch up on. I'm going to be doing some back logs before I head to Cali (hopefully). Love you guys!

Well Cort and Em have been rock solid and have two adorable boys to show for it. Emily, we're so happy that you've found the man of your dreams and Cort thank you for taking such great care our friend. We love you guys! Let's go for five more years (and maybe a baby girl so Emily can have her girl and take advantage of those clothes she has)!

p.s. They celebrated their anniversary in December (6th-I think. . .but don't quote me on that).

Ms. Sheena went and had a birthday on us-how dare she! Our sweet friend celebrated her birthday on the 4th (I know I'm a little late posting this) and turned the BIG 27!!! Sheena you're awesome and we love you so very much! Thank you for being you and making us laugh when we all get together. And I think next time we get together we need to gather at your new pad (we still haven't seen it). Love you girl and I hope your birthday was the very bestest!!

No Habla Espanol

Well I never made it any farther than French and Spanish cultures in 7th grade so I don't know how much Spanish I will be able to speak with the rest of y'all. We do have at least half a dozen Dora DVDs though!

I could bring those and we can all learn some Spanish from her. Just kidding, I won't torture you with them.

But I am definitely looking forward to tamale making, sort of. As long as there's more than just me, Elaine and Nic then I will be okay. TJ reminded me how much he loves tamales and that he wants a lot of them but of course he won't be there to help.

Hillary had Jackson on November 14, 2008 (yes that is also Valerie's birthday). I'm such a loser because I didn't take any pictures of her (or Jackson) when I went to go visit her a couple of weeks ago, but here are some pictures of our beautiful friend that I took a couple of weeks before Jackson came. Here are some pictures of Allison and Valerie at Noah's first birthday; those girls are so sweet. I think it's pretty cool that Emily, Melanie and Hillary all their kids around the same time now they'll have a buddy when it comes time for school. Hopefully the girls want find over Gavin when it comes time for dating!

One year older and wiser too, Happy Birthday to you!

Yesterday Emily "CeCe" Peterson took one step closer to becoming 30. . .okay, she still has four years to go but hey, I got to tease her somehow. Her dear ol' hubby Cort invited friends and family over for cake and ice cream. It was fun. I really enjoyed seeing Emily's house. We moved in to our new homes around the same time, but she already has it decorated. I like to think that I'm lagging behind because I'm not as crafty/creative as her but it may be some laziness too. I have a lot of wonderful ideas, but I just don't know how to make them "come alive."

It was fun hanging out with Emily and her family, whenever you get together with them you are GUARANTEED a good time! I laugh so hard when I'm with her family.

So, raise your glass in celebration to another wonderful birthday.

Once a upon a time, in a far away place. . .

Well, not really all that dramatic but here's our history (my version anyways):

I (Elaine aka BLT) grew up in Cali (born and raised). After graduation (1999) I decided to move away and go to school. Due to unpredictable circumstances, I had to stay home my first fall semester. Winter 2000, I head up to the wonderful (COLD) state of Idaho. City of choice: Rexburg. My first semester there, I meet some girls and we decide to be roomates the next year (2000/2001). . .that was such a BAAADDD idea (though I did enjoy living with a couple of them: love ya Tanya and Danalynn). So, school year of 2001/2002 I decide to take a giant leap of faith and move in with complete strangers. That was the best decision of my life!! Emily was the first gal that I met; I thought she hated me. Why? I invited her to a football game and she said she was meeting her friend there. Well, I come home early and she's still there. Ouch! She never went!!! I did, however, find out later that she was sick and she didn't feel up to going. Melanie and Hillary moved in a couple of days later. For a while I felt like an outcast (They all knew eachother), and I spent many a nights crying in my room; but one day it all just changed. And we've been friends ever since!! In 2002, I moved to Boise and lived with Melanie and her family. That's when I met Sheena (She-na-ne-na to me), she was friends with Melanie-though she did know Hillary and Emily too. So, the awesome foursome became a fab five!!

Grant it, there have been ups and downs. Laughter and tears. But no matter what we have always loved eachother! I love 'Beena,' 'Gomez,' 'GG' and 'CeCe' forever!!!
